There is no grant deadline for Greater Topeka Fund applications. However, the committee will meet at the end of each calendar quarter to review applications and make allocation decisions.
The next grant cycle for the Greater Topeka Fund will begin in 2018.
Eligibility and Guidelines
The Greater Topeka Fund will accept proposals from nonprofit organizations which serve Shawnee County.
Grant awards are expected to be $5,000 or less. Requests exceeding that amount will be considered on a limited basis only, based on demonstrated need and the availability of funding. Organizations are eligible to receive funding from the Greater Topeka Fund only once each calendar year.
Important Funding Considerations – Awards will be determined by the quality and strength of the case presented for the identified community need. Applications which include partnership between agencies, multiple funding sources and meet needs in the areas of “Arts” and “Youth” will be given priority. Some of the criteria that will be considered in reviewing proposals are:
- Impact: Who will be served?
- Community: Is there a demonstrated need for this program?
- Feasibility: Is the program realistic? Are there clear goals?
The Topeka Community Foundation does not fund staff salaries, overhead costs, fundraising events, or political campaigns. If you have any questions regarding your eligibility for a Greater Topeka Fund Grant, please contact us .
