2010 Initiatives
In 2010, the Topeka Community Foundation's initiatives include Youth Development, Mental Health, Healthy Lifestyles and Capacity Building.
Youth Development
Collaborative initiatives which teach useful skills and build self-confidence of young people in Shawnee County ensuring capable, effective leaders for the next generation.

Mental Health
Educating, protecting and advancing the rights of persons with mental health disabilities in Shawnee County.
The Mental Health RFP deadline will be available May 3, 2010 on the web site.
Healthy Lifestyles
Programs/projects which facilitate healthy lifestyles for residents in Nemaha, Riley, Pottawatomie, Jackson, Jefferson, Douglas, Shawnee, Wabaunsee, Osage and Lyon Counties.
The Healthy Lifestyles Concept Paper will be available June 18, 2010 on the web site.
Capacity Building
Assisting organizations in developing leadership, infrastructure and management systems that improve performance, impact and sustainability.
Individuals
Building Families Fund

Kansas Blood Services Fund
The Kansas Blood Services Fund with the Topeka Community Foundation provides scholarships for individuals in the medical field of blood banking or a related field.
Residents of Nemaha, Riley, Pottawatomie, Jackson, Jefferson, Douglas, Shawnee, Wabaunsee, Osage and Lyon counties are eligible to apply.

The Women’s Fund
The Women's Fund was established with the Topeka Community Foundation in 2006 with the mission "To promote women's leadership in philanthropy, increase charitable contributions and strengthen their value through collective giving, and encourage a new generation of philanthropists."
In grantmaking, The Women's Fund is committed to supporting groundbreaking solutions to complex problems facing women and children and to being a catalyst for enduring change.
The 2009 RFP deadline has passed.

Boss Hawg’s Charitable Giving Fund
The Boss Hawg’s Charitable Giving Fund with the Topeka Community Foundation is a donor advised fund that was established by the Boss Hawg’s Restaurant and Catering Co. to provide financial assistance to organizations that support the Fund’s area of interest which is children's programs.
